Vend-Sense
Vend-Sense is a small sensor fitted on individual vending machines or banks of machines which effectively switches off the appliance when no motion is detected within its vicinity, within a pre-set timescale.
• To ensure there is no disruption to the service provided, Vend-Sense can be set to switch off after 1 hour of inactivity
• This timescale can be altered to suit the operational requirements of any business.
• Save approximately 64% of energy usage* and reduce carbon footprint.
• Vend-Sense won the Machine Intelligence Award at the Auto Vending Awards in 2008 and the Bright Business Idea Competition in 2009
• North East Vending propose to fit a Vend-Sense sensor to all sites within the tender
at a nil cost to the Council.
* Based on an average usage of 60 hours per week 8am-8pm Monday to Friday and show savings over a 1 year period. Equipment surveyed includes: confectionary vending machines, hot drinks vending machines, can vending machines, tall glass fronted fridges and standard bar fridges.
“The Vend-Sense device paid for itself within three months by slashing the firm’s energy consumption.’
